Cinder

Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 August 2026

Cinder does not collect your data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you record stays on your device and, if you turn on iCloud sync, in your own private iCloud storage — which the developer cannot access.

What Cinder stores

Cinder keeps the following on your device, in a database that belongs to the app:

None of this is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, Cinder writes a copy of the data listed above to the private storage of your personal iCloud account. This is used only to keep your own devices in step with each other.

What Cinder does not do

Subscriptions

Cinder is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your name, payment card, or billing address. Apple provides the developer with aggregated, anonymised sales and subscription reports that cannot be linked to an individual person.

The app checks with Apple whether the current Apple Account has an active subscription. That check happens between your device and Apple; it does not pass through any server operated by the developer.

Deleting your data

Children

Cinder is a tool for adults who use tobacco or nicotine products. It is not directed at children and is age-rated accordingly on the App Store.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
