The terms below are supplemental: they add the subscription details and the disclaimers specific to Cinder. Where anything below conflicts with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls.
Cinder requires an active subscription to use. Two plans are offered: a monthly plan, which renews every month, and a yearly plan, which renews every year. The name, length, and price of each plan are shown on the purchase screen in the app.
The price of each plan is the one shown in the app at the moment of purchase, in your local currency. Prices vary by region and may change over time; the figure displayed on the purchase screen before you confirm is the price you will be charged.
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple, not by the developer, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Cinder is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is a personal record-keeping tool, made for people who want to cut down or stop: it stores what you tell it and shows you patterns in your own history. It makes no claim of clinical effect, does not treat nicotine dependence, and cannot guarantee any outcome. Decisions about tobacco or nicotine use, and about cessation, should be made with a qualified healthcare professional.
Every figure Cinder displays is derived from what you enter yourself, including your own records and the settings you provide. Cost estimates and comparisons are arithmetic on your own inputs, not measurements. Their accuracy depends entirely on the accuracy and completeness of what you record.
You are responsible for your own records. The developer holds no copy of them and therefore cannot recover them for you. See the Privacy Policy for where the data lives and how to remove it. Keeping iCloud sync enabled is the practical way to avoid losing your history if a device is lost or reset.
Cinder is for your own personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or attempt to circumvent the subscription requirement, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
You must be old enough to lawfully purchase tobacco or nicotine products in your jurisdiction, and at least the minimum age shown in the app's App Store age rating.
Cinder is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. The developer is not liable for any loss of data, or for any decision made on the basis of what the app displays. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
These terms may be updated as the app changes. The date at the top will be revised, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
